In this nice simple video tutorial the artist uses a pen to demonstrate how to draw a quick sketch of a head using the Reilly method. A quick sketch means any type of sketch lasting from 1 to 10 mins. The artist narrates over the top of this video to give you a complete step by step understanding of how he is approaching the Reilly method. In this video you will cover drawing fundamentals, head lay-in / construction, adding light and shade and edgework. A very complete tutorial which you will come away from with a new found understanding for drawing in pen.

  2. Dude, u cant imagine how thankful i am for this videos. I’ve always admired this method without knowing how it’s called or how exactly it’s done. It rly makes the picture so alive and plastic, in the same time so dramatic, wow, it’s the best way to speed draw imo. Your figure tutorial is evn more awesome. Thank youPS: It’s a shame that my teachers have never told me of this and how it’s called. It’s so easier when u have some1 to show u :)
